Folksongs
Of Deities and Kings, of places atop hills and rituals followed across Kinnaur, the histories and ancestral wisdom of people reverberate in old folk songs. The modest and most appealing are songs about ordinary men and more often ordinary women encountering something extraordinary - and their footprints on the sands of time left behind in a song. They encounter love and hope, isolation and despair, and hardships and inequalities. And through singing and composing songs a radical space of creative expression is created.
