Kinnaur hosted the Great Backyard Bird Count 2025, bringing together bird enthusiasts and nature lovers to observe and document local and migratory bird species. Supported by local authorities, the event fostered community participation in conservation efforts and highlighted Kinnaur’s vital role in protecting Himalayan avian biodiversity.

A vibrant community event blending art, film, and dialogue to spotlight environmental challenges and cultural narratives of the Western Himalayas, featuring works by 15 artists and screenings in collaboration with Alt Eff.

Kinnaur proudly hosted its inaugural Environmental Film Festival on 3rd, 4th and 5th December 2023

A public birding event was organized by Aum, Zed.tells, Saryan Vigyan Foundation and Brelingi Youth Club on the day of Global Big Day.
